Ekklesia, not a Building, but a Gathering

After reading the Gospels carefully, a lot of people come to the conclusion that they do not want a fellowship that comes with a Cruise Ship.    The word ekklesia when translated into English has traditionally and consistently been translated as “church.”   That is a very poor translation of this very simple Greek word.   In the Greek, an ekklesia is a gathering of people.   With but rudimentary understanding of the old language you kind of have to go a bit out of your way to translate that to come up with a word that means entire Italian, English, or French rock quarry.   In either case, think and believe what you will, this blog is Believers to ask questions …
